“The Bow Tie Series uses the spatial layering of horizontal parallel forms to allow light to infiltrate the sculpture. This is intended to create a sense of vitality and movement. From various viewpoints some of these sculptures reveal the fabrication process in an open form. This is not dissimilar from the Wall Series where utilitarian elements are intentionally visible when the sculpture is sited in the round.”
