“The works I call the Wall Series are based on the concept of a folded form joined along a central axis. All the works are freestanding and offer a variety of viewing options. When sited adjacent to a wall the dominant view is complemented by the added dimension of reflected light and shadow. If sited at the corner of two adjoining walls the work becomes an architectural extension of the angled wall surfaces. When sited in the round all parts of the form are accessible to the viewer, including the utilitarian elements. Depending upon placement the visual experience of each work moves along a continuum from painting to relief to sculpture.”
